Moving Your Car With A Vehicle Transport Service

Many situations require you to move a car or truck to a new location, but driving it is not always an option. Getting the vehicle there safely and in good condition is critical, so hiring a vehicle transport service is an excellent option to consider. You may want to use a vehicle transport service in the following situations.

Long Distance Moves

One of the most common reasons for using a vehicle transport service to move your car or truck is the distance of the move. Relocating across the country or even halfway across the US is a long distance to move. If you are driving a truck with your household belongings in it, driving the car as well may not be an option, but having a vehicle transportation service bring the vehicle to your new home can be a huge help.

While there are often options to tow the vehicle, not everyone is comfortable driving a large truck and then adding a dolly or trailer with a car behind the truck. Having the transport company move the vehicle in a trailer or on a car hauler gets the vehicle to your new home, doesn't add a lot of miles to the car, and if you are not sure that the vehicle can make the drive without a breakdown, transporting it takes that out of the equation.

Winter Relocation

For people who split their time between the northern states and the southern states to avoid winter weather, having your car with you could be extremely important. Still, most will put the car on a trailer with several other vehicles going to the same area to reduce transportation costs. 

If you work with the same company every year, you may find that the cost to move the car is a little lower because you are a repeat client. There are many people who need a vehicle moved twice a year to accommodate wintering in a warm area and then returning home after.
